It’s also the only area in the state where you can drive a vehicle on the beach. Flag must be between 8″ – 12″ wide, 9′ tall from the ground up and orange or red in color. Coastal camping at its best, Oceano Dunes offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean overlooked by up to 500-foot-tall dunes. Flags are required on all vehicles at Sand Lake Oregon.You must have a valid driver’s license, state-issued all-terrain vehicle operator permit, or be accompanied by someone 18 or older with a valid driver’s license or operator permit.Off-highway vehicles are allowed only on designated routes or areas.Operators with a suspended or revoked drivers license may not operate any class ATV.You’re required to have a fire extinguisher in your truck, car or motorhome.In addition to the Oregon state OHV vehicle permit, the Siuslaw National Forest also requires OHV decals on trucks, cars and motorhomes for most campgrounds and day use staging areas.An OHV permit is required to ride on Oregon public lands.
